the
largest elevator
trade
fair of the Americas. Thisyear,Expo
Elevador Brasil took place together withthefirstedition
ofExpoPredialtec-fairofadvanced
technologiesfor
buildings,on
August 18-19at
the Exhibition Center (Centro de Exposições Imigrantes)inSãoPaulo.
ExpoElevador
proved theincrease
of the capacityand
the highlevel of
the Brazilian industry, achievedthroughtheattainment
of a
greater
market access to
supplierof
parts and apparatus.
In addition to nearly 30 national manufacturers,
the exhibition brought together dozens
of suppliers of components, parts, machinery, escalators
and buildings carrying passengers equipment, besides
elevator maintenance companies. The event also attracted
exhibitors from China, Germany, Spain, Italy, South Korea,
United States, Canada and Argentina. "We showed that the
market offers options of equipment with high technology added to
the commands of the elevators, transportation options for people
with reduced mobility, and complete solutions
for new elevators, escalators and advanced
technologies in flooring and door operators " said Edilberto Cardoso
de Almeida, director of WP publishing house (Editora
WP), promoter of the event.

-The fair showed "eco
friendly elevators", which reduce energy consumption, "machine room
less elevators", "gearless elevators with machines do not
use oil and grease, elements that
pollute the environment", "smart elevators" which
anticipate and distribute calls, high speed performance
serve buildings with large flows of people and many floors,
among other modern equipment.
The segment drove more
than $ 1,4 billion dollars this year in Brazil. Over nine thousand new
elevators are planned in the Brazilian market,
number 12% higher than last year, according to estimates by the
Brazilian entity responsible for the area (SECIESP).
Expo Predialtec

In its first edition, Expo Predialtec exhibited the most
advanced trends for buildings and innovations in automation for
residential and corporate buildings. A pioneer in South America,
the fair showed that smart homes and smart apartments are
available for anyone: What was difficult to purchase in the past
is pretty easy now, a privilege of the highest standard homes is
more affordable for consumers.
Bticino, Scenario Automação
Residencial, Neocontrol, Cybertronics, Finder, Z-Wave were
among the exhibitors. They exhibited apparatus of central
control of lighting, power
control, automated blinds, full bath with hot water, which can
be programmed via mobile phone, security items, audio and
video, telecommunications, energy efficiency, automation
systems and softwares. Exhibitors proved
that activities performed at the touch of a
finger, more accurately through the cell phone, allow access to
the world of technology at home. Projects such as these begin to
be implemented by contractors and delivered to the
consumers when they receive the keys.
In its first year, the Expo Predialtec 2010 showed that over the
past five years, prices for automation systems were reduced by
half, due to the development of national technologies and the
growing number of projects, according to data from Aureside (Associação
das Empresas de Automação Residencial). Moreover, an increase of
40% per year, the number of home automation projects in Brazil.
